What InterFit is
InterFit is an independent referral service. People looking for a gym tell us what they want and where they live. We pass each enquiry to one local gym or strength and conditioning studio in their area. That business may pay us for the referral.
What InterFit is not
- Not a gym, a studio or a franchise.
- Not a comparison site. We do not rank gyms or list membership prices.
- Not connected to any council or government agency, even though we link to their pages.
- Not a party to your membership. The agreement is between you and the gym.
How the site is paid for
The gym that receives an enquiry may pay for it. In some areas one gym may take every enquiry from its city, region or state for a set period under an agreement with us. Either way you pay InterFit nothing and you are free to join somewhere else.
How we write
Facts about councils, centres and consumer rules come from government sources, and each one links to the page it came from. Exercise guidance comes from Australia's 24-hour movement guidelines. We do not name gym businesses. Council centres are named the way the council names them.
Where we cover
Every capital and every regional centre of about 40,000 people or more, with Melbourne's north researched suburb by suburb. See the areas we cover.
