The arrangement
One gym or studio takes every InterFit enquiry for its area. The area can be a city, a region or a whole state, depending on what is free and what you can serve. The term is 12 months. The fee is one flat annual amount, and we share it when you enquire.
What an enquiry contains
- Name, phone and email
- Suburb or town and state
- The kind of training: a gym membership, strength and conditioning, group classes or small group training
- Main goal, experience and preferred times, when the person gives them
- The person's consent to their details going to one local business
No health information. The form asks people to leave it out.
What we ask of you
- Get back to each enquiry promptly.
- Let people read the agreement and your rules before they sign.
- Follow your state's rules. In Queensland, for example, a fitness supplier must have a complaint handling process and must not make false or misleading claims (Queensland Government). In the ACT, the Fitness Industry Code of Practice 2026 sets the cooling-off period and refund timing (ACT Legislation Register).
- Do not present InterFit as part of your business.
What stays the same
The site remains an independent referral service. Readers are told that the business receiving their enquiry may pay for it. We do not publish prices, rank gyms or name businesses in the copy.
Questions from gyms
Is my area available?
Ask. We tell you which cities, regions and states are free when you enquire.
Can two gyms share an area?
No. One business per area, so enquiries never go to a competitor on the same patch.
What happens at the end of the 12 months?
We talk before the term ends about renewing. If you do not renew, the area may be offered to another gym.
