The aquatic centre in Traralgon
The Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre at 49 Breed Street is owned by the council and has a gymnasium and three group fitness rooms. Its eight-lane, 50-metre indoor pool has seating for 500. It was the first public aquatic facility in Victoria with a deep bore geothermal heating system (Premier of Victoria). Nearby, the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium on Catterick Crescent is a council multisport stadium for court games.
Council or private?
A council centre suits people who want a pool, a sauna and a gym under one roof. A private gym may open longer or have more racks. A strength studio adds coaching. Compare all three on hours, contract length and how you would cancel.
InterFit does not run a gym. We pass each Latrobe Valley enquiry to one gym or studio, and it may pay for that referral. Tell us what you need.
