Reservoir Leisure Centre
Reservoir Leisure Centre at 2A Cuthbert Road offers aquatics, fitness and gym services to people of all abilities. Darebin says the gym has cardio equipment, pin and free load weights, a functional training space and trainer supervision. That covers the basics most people look for on a gym floor.
The centre's future is under study. Darebin has completed a scoping study and says the centre will need to be redeveloped at some point, but still has plenty to offer.
Help with the cost
If money is tight, ask Darebin about a subsidised gym membership. The council says people having financial difficulties might be able to get one, with access to Reservoir Leisure Centre from 6am to 4pm.
Outdoor gyms and lake paths
Four Reservoir parks have council outdoor gym equipment: Edwardes Lake Park in Griffiths Street, I W Dole Reserve in Dole Avenue, J C Donath Reserve in Harmer Street and T W Andrews Reserve in Fordham Road.
